Claims Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a part time insurance and claims administrator to join our busy team. If you are a vibrant and driven individual, then we would like to hear from you.

Job Type:  Part Time

Hours Per Week: 25 hours, 5 days per week

Job Description

To administrate all aspects relating to both motor fleet and transit claims, maintain accurate records of vehicle movements ensuring vehicles are insured, maintain accurate records of supplier insurance records and to provide support to the insurance advisor.


Main Duties

  • Maintain and keep accurate records of vehicle movements.
  • To ensure all alterations to vehicles insured are notified to the brokers accordingly.
  • Liaise with HR in respect of new drivers and obtain completed company vehicle drivers forms, copy driving licences and DVLA checks. Liaising with the insurance advisor of any endorsements or medical conditions and notify the brokers/insurers when required.
  • Administrate all vehicle accident claims and damage incidents. Ensuring the drivers incident report is completed in full and reported to the insurers. liaising with the driver to obtain additional information when required. Images are obtained of any vehicle damage. liaising with the fleet department and traffic operators to ensure that the vehicle hard drive is removed from the vehicle in a timely manner and repair estimates are obtained and vehicle repairs are carried. Down load footage of vehicle accidents and provide all evidence and documents to the insurers via the portal and provide relevant documents to the brokers in respect of our uninsured losses.  
  • Maintain and keep up to date insurance claim register.
  • Maintain CCTC Register.
  • Carry out accident investigations as and when required.
  • Administrate goods in transit claims and gather all information relating to the claim. Liaising with the drivers, traffic operators. Repudiate claims as and when required and hold other parties responsible when required ensuring all correspondence is sent to the brokers.
  • Maintain new drivers and agency drivers licence register, liaising with the fleet department on a monthly basis obtaining a report on all licence checks and drivers forms completed that month and update the register accordingly and notify the insurance advisor of any new endorsements.
  • Provide insurance documentation to customers when requested.  
  • Liaise with charters and subcontractors and request insurance documentation when they are due to expire, update truck com and file accordingly in the relevant files.


Other Duties

  • Provide ad hoc administrative support when required.

  • Able to work using your own initiative and work unsupervised as well as a team.
